Update on Sheba
Sheba is doing great! She got the drains out of her wounds on Thursday and Dr. Mollet was happy with her progress. Due to the injury we all feared she would get a terrible infection but not a problem. The wounds are healing nicely and the stitches should be out next Friday. Her spirits are good and she is a really sweet girl. Many very nice people rushed to her rescue and a big thank you to all of them. Angie, who got the call and got things rolling. The wonderful person that saw her and would not rest til she was safe. Granite City PD. Mary and Sue who went to get her and took her to the E Clinic. The Emergency Clinic for helping her thru the night till her owners could be found. (FYI-we would have been glad to help the owner but he was very happy to place her in our care due to circumstances). Horseshoe Lake Animal Hospital Vets and staff. Channel Five News for getting her story out there. All the wonderful people that donated to help pay for the 2 1/2 hour surgery to fix all the injuries. A very happy ending to a very scary story.
