Update-Jan. 16-29, 2012-33 Adoptions!

   Several events coming up in February.  Ravanellis restuarant in Collinsville is having a Silent Auction to benefit Partners For Pets during the whole month of Feb.  There are about 30 items to bid on such as a Kuranda dog bed, Keurig Coffee maker, Ravs Pie of the Month and many baskets.  Please stop by, grab a bite to eat and vote away!
   Trivia Night will be Feb. 25 at the Social Club located between Pontoon Beach and Collinsville.  Doors open at 6:30 PM.  To reserve your table of 8 please call Jennifer at 618-616-3332.  There will be a 50/50 drawing, silent auction and pet photo contest.  Tables are $120.00 and includes beer and soda.  Bring your own snacks.  Prizes for winners. 
   Feb. 11 and 12 will be Adoptathon at the Glen Carbon Petsmart.  Partners For Pets will be there both days from 11 AM til 3:30 PM.  Please come adopt!
   P4P adopted 33 dogs and cats to new homes during these two weeks.  Awesome!  Dogs that were adopted were:  BB, Layla, Mango, Bentley, Buckwheat, Tonto (with us since June), Rugrat (with us since June), Marsha,Gomer (sadly already returned), Casper, Lena, Bizzie, Perdita, Mable, Titus, Diesel, Maize, Penelope, Loris, Hawkeye aka Buddy, Rocky, and Max.  Kitties were:  Hud, Shayla, Roseanne, Emerson, Elliot, Jenny, and Annie.  Thanks to all who helped at adoptions.  Big thanks to Nev for getting them ready for adoption.  Huge amount of work! We were able to pull many more from the pound due to great adoptions and foster homes. 
   The week of Jan. 16 saw 5 dogs get treated for parvo.  Yuk!  Argyle was pulled from the pound with parvo and was treated at Horseshoe.  Three pups came from a fellow rescuer with parvo and were treated by P4P.  One 9 week old pup came down with it at a foster home where he had been born.  Not quite sure about that one.  Anyway, glad to say all survived and are doing great.  Whew!
