The Puppy is Hungry!!

It's always a good thing when a pup that has had parvo is interested in eating.  We got a cute little, tiny yellow pup last Monday and it came down with parvo on Tuesday.  It's never good when a little tiny one gets it.  They just don't have the reserves to fight it. The pup, who doesn't have a name yet, looked pretty sad and had some terrible, stinky diarrhea twice.  Little bit of vomitting.  Not too bad.  Parvo is the weirdest illness.  It can be very mild to deadly within hours.  There is no way to predict if they will make it.  You have to just give it a try.  The turning point is always when they want to eat.  After 4 days of fluids and the miracle drug Cerenia, plus other meds, the pup almost bit my finger off tonite to get the wet food. Yes!!
