Weekly Update, Nov. 7-13, 2011-16 Adoptions!

   This week we had a dog emergency.  A call from animal control that a dog had come in with a broken leg.  Misty, named after the ice cream shop where she was found, was in great pain and had two broken bones in her leg.  Dr. Ervin was able to put it back together and she is resting comfortably at Nev's.  We also had a rash of heartworm positive dogs. 
   This weekend was adoptathon and we did 16 adoptions!  Dogs that were adopted were Omar, Hobbs, Cooper, Bella, Koby, Baggins, Sophie, Diego, Bailey, and Max.  Kitties were:  Laci, Monster, Pat, Malia, Tye, and Tiger.  Wilma went on a trial.  Dreyfus went to a foster home.  We pulled several cats and 6 dogs from the pound.  Pretty good week all in all. 
   We have been going to the O'Fallon Petsmart on Saturday and it is very nice.  We could use some volunteers there to help so if you aren't busy come by.  We are there from 11 to 4.  Still at Glen Carbon every Sunday.
